This second set I focused more on drapery as my subject and how the light overcomes the shadow (with the exception of the last photo), rather than in my first set where shadow is more prominent. I think these images are less strong than the first set because the identity of the object is too obvious rather than abstracted like in the first set. For example, I really enjoy the last photo here because the viewer can tell that the subject is a curtain, but only because the light and shadow reveal the shapes and folds within the curtain, rather than the curtain just existing (like in the first 2 photos of this series). So, for the next time I shoot I want to try and let the light and shadow reveal the subject in a way, rather than just taking a picture of the object existing. I think the last photo here is more successful also because the curtain was somewhat sheer and allowed some sunlight to come through. So I will also try to experiment with the opaqueness of objects.
