This second set I went for variety in household items. I like this set a lot better and find it more interesting. This set also not only focuses on light and shadow, but a majority of them focus on the color of light. I really like the effect that different color lights or the reflection of light off a colored surface produces. I will experiment with this the next time I shoot. I also think I need more shots with foreground and also background. Most of these photos are all pretty close up and I could get more variety with the amount of foreground I include
I agree this set of photos is stronger; it focuses on light and shadow and objects of domesticity. Push the idea of domesticity; this is your content. You have such a beautiful eye for form and light. Work on scale. Look at the relationship between detail and background. Ultimately, I know this will be a strong final portfolio.
